College Building
The College main building is a 3-storey one with a central open space and a Central Library, Computing Centre, office of the Principal, office of the Chairman, Meeting room, office room etc housed in it and on the second floor, a store, Physics lab, Chemistry Lab and Seminar hall. On the third floor, there is faculty room, drawing hall, and 4 class rooms and seminars halls.
The workshop building complex, Electrical Engg. Block, Electronics Engg. Block, Civil Engg. Block, and Mechanical Engg. Block, are being constructed according to prevailing standards and will be fully functional soon.
Air conditioned seminar halls with LCD projector and OHP an available for Conversing various technical programmes.
College Hostel
Separate own hostel buildings for both boys and girls will be built soon. Till then the students will be accommodated in the nearby leased buildings.
Hostel Rules:
- Students who want admission to hostel must apply for the same in the prescribed admission form (available from college office) with two passport size photographs and remit the caution deposit in the college office.
- Students are not allowed to stay in the hostel during college working hours.
- All inmates are expected to maintain always personal cleanliness befitting the decorum of a future professional and will be properly attired.
- Students have to make necessary entries in the “Movement Register” before leaving the hostel for outing/ shopping.
- All inmates are expected to contact the Faculty Warden or Resident Warden for redressal of any grievance during their stay in the hostel.
- All inmates are expected to maintain the rooms and common areas always in a presentable, neat and tidy manner.
- Smoking, use of alcohol or any other intoxicant is totally prohibited.
- During study time every student, unless he or she has prior permission for absence, is to be present in his room.
- Safety of cash and valuables will be the sole responsibility of the student.
- Switch off the lights/fans and close the bathroom taps when not in use.
Hostel Fees:
The rent for one semester (6 months) have to be paid during the first week of each semester. The payments of mess and hostel bill shall be done by way of DD or by local cheques drawn on State Bank of India, Kattakkada Branch. For mess dues fine shall be collected for late payment. The payment of the college fees, mess fees and college bus fees can be done by a DD favoring “The Chairman, Pankajakasthuri College of Engineering & Technology, Kandala, Trivandrum-695512” drawn on any bank and payable at Trivandrum, or by cash in the College Cash counter.
College Bus
PKCET has a fleet of college buses to serve the needs of students and staff and will ply in all necessary routes with in about 25 km radius. This is in addition to other mini transport facilities owned by the college. The KSRTC also has agreed to ply bus service to the campus in the morning and evening college timings.
College Bus Fees
The payment of college bus fees shall be done by way of DD or by local cheques drawn on State Bank of India, Kattakkada Branch.
